Freddy and Tal Davis’s book, Bridges, is a much-needed in book in a nation that is losing her way.  The ‘Seven Worldview Questions’ should be read and discussed by every Christian family in America.  I am pleased to recommend this book and also suggest that it be included in all church libraries.

Freddy Davis carries passion and insight into an area where many people fear to tread: worldview discussions.  But he has made these drastically important discussions accessible with language and examples that the everyday person can understand.  In an age where the Judeo-Christian worldview is not the standard on the street, I find that “loving thy neighbor” is just as much about kindness as it is about shedding light. Culture Wars invites the reader into shining that light with clarity and gives suggestive reading for more in-depth study.

Freddy Davis and Tal Davis have written an engaging book on rethinking how to share a witness for Christ in the 21st century.  Most Christians desire to share their faith effectively, but as we share we often come across barriers to witnessing that make it difficult to share effectively.  America has changed radically in the last fifty years but we too often base our witness on ideas that no longer work.  We are answering questions that the lost are no longer asking.  Our basic assumptions about the belief systems that undergird those around us need to change.  As a pastor desiring to lead his church to be more affective and as a Christian wishing to more effectively share, Freddy and Tal’s book, Bridges, is a great help in understanding how to more effectively share about Christ.  Freddy and Tal challenge us to think about the lost around us in a new way.

Freddy’s honest and practical approach to prayer, in Praying is not for Wimps, is refreshing and thought provoking.  You will discover in new ways that prayer is not a formula or a ritual, but intimate conversation with the living God.

A generation or more ago America looked a lot more like Jerusalem than Acts 17; those hearing the gospel had more in common with it, like the Jewish audience in Acts 2. But increasingly America looks like Mars Hill in Acts 17, requiring not a different gospel, but a different approach to sharing the gospel. in Bridges you will learn how to be more effective in sharing the timeless good news in a timely manner for our times.

Dr. Tal Davis and Dr. Freddy Davis bring a wealth of experience from serving on mission fields both in North America and overseas. Bridges presents many practical tools for building bridges to overcome worldview barriers so people can hear the Gospel. This book demonstrates fascinating, engaging and comprehensive approaches in sharing the Gospel in the pluralistic world. If you are looking for an effective witnessing tool to sharing the gospel with different people groups, you have it.

Freddy Davis and Tal Davis have done the church a much needed service by writing this helpful book. The authors make the case that, in these post-Christian days, we can no longer merely share the Gospel with others and assume they will understand what we mean. We now live in an era of religious plurality. We must understand the world views of our listeners, and be able to refute their false beliefs while sharing and defending the truth. I recommend this book, Bridges: How to Share a Witness across Worldview Barriers, to every Christian. This book gives all the essential information needed to share and defend the Christian faith in the twenty-first century.
